Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting Inside Sales priorities and initiatives in support of delivering exceptional customer service to Benshaw customers, distributors and selling resources. Foundational commitment to employee core competency and organizational development, adherence to company code of conduct policies and overall business and personal integrity are required. 


Position Location: On-site, Benshaw, 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 (Not eligible for relocation assistance)
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 
Please Note: This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis, without restriction and without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals on F-1 OPT, CPT, H-1B, or other temporary work authorizations. We are unable to provide employment visa sponsorship for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Handles a high volume of inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales by selecting / quoting appropriate product(s).
  • Responds to customer needs in a timely fashion.
  • Communicates effectively via telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Creates quotes, assists with order processing and day-to-day customer &/or sales team requests
  • Receives, processes, coordinates, tracks, product submitted under established business arrangements.
  • Provides product demos and literature to qualified customers upon request. 
  • Provides details for quotation for order entry to ensure proper processing of purchase orders. 
  • Works well with team members and provide support for RSM’s, reps, customers, etc.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by management.
  • Research and identify potential accounts within a target market, solicit new business, and build initial rapport

Established Success Measures
  • Sales volume in accordance with annual operating plan targets
  • Order (booking) volume targets
  • Price quality targets in support of overall business profitability objectives
  • Customer net promoter improvement targets
Position Skill and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.  Associates Degree or higher in related business or technical field preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of sales experience, preferably with a technical product.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support both internal and external individual and team engagement
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
  • Requires strong commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Detail orientated, independent self-starter
  • Realized and / or ability to become proficient with ERP, CRM, email, word processing and related tools and systems
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills required
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, self-starter
Additional Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of costs and margins—ways to improve the bottom line
  • Previous experience providing support for industrial automation or power electronics equipment
  • Experience with IFS or related ERP system for Order Entry.
