Candidate must be located in Pittsburgh, PA without relocation support needs. This role does have the option for a hybrid or remote schedule after 2 months of onsite training and with manager approval.

Job Responsibilities: 

Supports customers by resolving problems that arise from technical failures, repairs, replacements, and spare parts within warranty and non-warranty situations.  Responds to technical requests and complaints over the phone as part of the technical support phone group.  Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues; understands and navigates drawings in AutoCAD.  Inform customer about services available. Seeks technical assistance from senior customer service technicians or engineers as needed for more complex technical issues. Identifies repair parts and initiates the shipping process. Ability and willingness to complete other duties as assigned. This role may involve cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • 1-3 years of technical customer support experience. 
  • Strong technical skills in electronics, preferably power electronics.
  • Solid communication skills and demonstrated ability to handle customer issues. 
  • Proficient with email, word processing and order entry. 
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-starter

Desired Qualifications
  • Technical associate’s degree or equivalent in electrical or electronics.
  • Soft starter and VFD Knowledge as well as Communications for each
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Demonstrated IFS experience (or equivalent ERP system experience)

Job Schedule:
  • This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
  • Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
  • In addition to normal shifts, must be willing and able to work the following on-call shifts once a month:
    • On-call weekend shift
    • After-hours weekday shift
