Position Summary
Benshaw is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Production Scheduler to lead enterprise-wide production planning and master scheduling across our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align customer demand, engineered-to-order project requirements, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing throughput, and driving cross-functional alignment between Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing within our IFS ERP environment.

The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing throughput, and driving cross-functional alignment between Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing within our IFS ERP environment.
Master Production Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) within the ERP system.
- Translate customer orders, forecasts, and project timelines into executable production plans.
- Balance capacity across fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipping operations.
- Proactively adjust schedules based on material constraints, engineering releases, labor availability, and shifting priorities.
- Drive schedule adherence and ensure alignment between planned vs. actual production.
- Conduct short- and long-range capacity planning analysis.
- Evaluate production load versus available labor and equipment capacity.
- Provide leadership with visibility into risks, bottlenecks, and delivery forecasts.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure material readiness and resolve shortages.
- Coordinate with Engineering on drawing and BOM release timelines.
- Align with Project Managers on milestone commitments and customer expectations.
- Communicate clear production priorities to Operations leadership.
- Utilize and maintain data integrity within IFS ERP to ensure accurate planning and reporting.
- Monitor KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule attainment, lead times, and capacity utilization.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement planning improvements.
- Support ERP enhancements and system optimization initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in master scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in engineered-to-order or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong ERP/MRP system experience required; IFS ERP experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
- APICS CPIM certification.
- Experience in motor control, power systems, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing complex product lines with variable lead times.
