Position Summary
Benshaw is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and continuously improve our safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs across manufacturing and office operations at our facilities in Pittsburgh, PA (USA) & Listowel, Ontario (Canada). This role is critical in ensuring a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment that supports Benshaw’s commitment to operational excellence, employee well-being, and sustainable growth.

The EHS Manager will serve as the subject-matter expert for OSHA, environmental regulations, and internal safety standards, working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Leadership to embed safety into everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local regulations.
  • Lead workplace safety initiatives to reduce incidents, injuries, and near-misses.
  • Conduct safety audits, job hazard analyses, and facility inspections.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections and audits.
Environmental Compliance
  • Manage environmental programs related to hazardous waste, chemical handling, and spill prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate proper disposal and documentation of hazardous materials.
  • Support sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.
Training & Employee Engagement
  • Develop and deliver OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, PPE, forklift, and emergency response training.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through engagement and leadership collaboration.
Incident Management & Reporting
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain OSHA logs and safety records.
  • Track EHS metrics and prepare leadership reports.
Policy & Continuous Improvement
  • Create and update EHS policies and procedures.
  • Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 15–20% annually.
Preferred
  • CSP, ASP, CIH, or similar certification.
  • Experience in electrical or industrial manufacturing.
  • ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 familiarity.

This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis, without restriction and without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
